Are you a first-time guest or visitor at the Y? Welcome! We hope to make the process simple and easy for you. A few things to know prior to your arrival: 
  • Guests under 18 MUST have a parent/guardian signature
  • We do not have day passes at the Salem Withnell Family Y - you can join the Y here or attend the Y as a guest of a member
  • Guests 18 or older MUST bring photo ID with them each time they come to the Y 
  • If your guest does not have an account, we’ll ask them to do the step below in-person

 

Here is a step-by-step process of how to set up a "Non-Member" profile:
  1. Click HERE and test out your email to make sure you do not already have an account (Did you know we have been using the same system since 2002?! If you have ever done swim lessons or sports here, you most likely have a non-member account. Just ask the membership desk to send you a password reset link.)
  2. If you don't have a profile already, click the top right corner, "Sign Up"
  3. Select Salem Family YMCA, then NEXT
  4. From there, you will have many different options for membership types, scroll to the bottom, and select, "Non-Member" then "START"
  5. Enter your Name, Email, Phone Number, DOB, Address and Emergency Contact, then select "NEXT" on the bottom right
  6. Add ALL adults and children in your household. You will not have the opportunity to add them later, so be sure to add all members of your household on this screen and select "NEXT"
  7. Look over our Facility Usage Agreement and Waiver, then select, "ACCEPT & SIGN" 
That's it! From there, you and your family are set to go! We will see you at the Y! 

 

This all seems like too much, can I just print something out for my child to bring with them?

What if I have an account, but I cannot access the account?
NO PROBLEM! Just call us (503.581.9622 ; Option 1 ; Option 0) and we can quickly send you a password reset link. If you are calling outside business hours, please just send an email to membership@theyonline.org and we will send you a link to reset your password when we open next. 
Why can't I add a person to my existing Non-Member account?
Once your account is activated, you cannot add members online. Please call us (503.581.9622 ; Option 1 ; Option 0) or email membership@theyonline.org with the first & last name and DOB of member you would like to add. 
I'm trying to sign a waiver for my child on an old account, but cannot
Select "Activities" in the top right hand corner, then select, "Register for a Program" 
Click the Tag "Sign a Waiver" and then click through to select the child you are wanting to sign for
Finally, sign the waiver, and you're done!
Does my guest need ID?
Yes, all adults (18+) who enter the building must bring their photo ID. We are a childcare facility, and we need to know who is in the building at all times. Thank you for your understanding. 
How many guest passes do I have as a member?
Each member UNIT gets 5 free guest passes per calendar year. That means if your family of 6 is on one membership, you all, collectively, get 5 free guest passes. After your 5 free passes are utilized, each guest pass is $5.
Can multiple people come in on one guest pass?
A guest pass is 2 adults per guest pass OR one family per guest pass. 
Does my guest have to be with me the whole visit?
No - you and your guest may use different parts of the facility, but the member who brought a guest must remain in the building with your guest.
