Courtney Place is officially at 100% capacity! To celebrate our tenants and the beautiful Oregon Summer, we held a Summer Bash on August 16th that included food, desserts, dog pools, and live music. In our first couple months of being open, we have done multiple outings to build community such as:
- A surfing trip
- A beach trip
- Two baseball games at the Volcanoes stadiums (where two of our residents were able to throw a first pitch)
- Weekly outings for needed materials
Wrap-around services has been surveying what is needed from them and making it happen. Courtney Place would be just another apartment complex without peer support and resource navigation. To honor the great Peter Courtney, we continue to face new challenges as we navigate what it means to build community and how to create an environment that works to build and foster independence.
We encourage people to get on the wait list for Courtney Place so if there are any openings, they can get in as soon as they can.
