Support for Remote Learning and Changing School Schedules
The YMCA is helping working families adapt to school closures, distance learning, and an uncertain school year. The Y's Out of School Time Enrichment program offers 50 hours a week of academic supervision, structured activities, and active play. YMCA Staff is trained on the school district's virtual learning platforms to help bridge the digital divide. We’re open 10 hours a day at locations throughout Marion and Polk counties.
With more than 100 years in youth development, our local Y is well-prepared for the current challenge. We work closely with parents, teachers, and the school district to help students succeed inside and outside of their classrooms.
We are committed to the safety protocols and standards set by the Oregon Health Authority, the Early Learning Division, and the CDC. The YMCA trains all staff to meet these requirements and best practices.
Thanks to generous local donors, we are able to charge a subsidized rate of $125 per week for full days. We also offer scholarships based on income. Check with your employer about subsidies and reimbursement options.
To register for full-day programs, please call the Youth Development Director, Felicia Fisher, at (503) 399-2788 or by email.
