Half a Day of Play to Pave the Way Happening on Nov. 4

On Saturday, November 4, the Salem Family YMCA will be holding a fund raiser titled Half a Day of Play to Pave the Way to help raise money for the For a Better Us Scholarship Campaign.

The For a Better Us Scholarship Campaign supports financial assistance to those in need so that no one is turned away from participating in a YMCA program due to an inability to pay. Last year, nearly $300,000 was awarded in financial assistance to those in need. Money raised from this event will provide opportunities to kids and families to participate in YMCA memberships, youth sports, swim lessons, camp and child care.

There will be fund raising events held in basketball, cycling, Zumba®, and run/walk. The cost is…

  • 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament: $20.00 per player, $50.00 per team of 3, or $70.00 per team of 4
  • Cycling: $20.00 per rider
  • Zumba®: $20.00 for one event, $35.00 for two events, or $50.00 for three events
  • Run/Walk: $20.00 for one event, $35.00 for two events, or $50.00 for three events

The prices listed above include the cost of an event t-shirt, as registration can take place at the Welcome Desk inside the Salem Family YMCA.

Any questions can be directed to Fitness Director Tina Earhart via email or telephone at (503) 581-9622 ext. 765.
