YMCA Opened Doors on Volunteer Recognition Night

On April 28, the Family YMCA of Marion & Polk Counties was proud to open its doors to the volunteers that help run our organization with Volunteer Recognition Night that included family-friendly activities, healthy snacks, and much more.

Volunteers are the backbone of the YMCA. Volunteers not only founded the YMCA, but operated it in its entirety in the early days. The involvement of thousands of talented, committed individuals greatly extends the range, quality and variety of YMCA programs.

The night’s activities ran from 6:00-9:00 PM and included open swimming, gymnastics, basketball, dance, Family Zumba, kid activities, and much more.

Special thanks to Nancy Umeda for helping to organize the event and all the helpers that were on-hand to make the event a success.
