Volunteer Recognition Day will be on April 28

The Family YMCA of Marion & Polk Counties is proud to announce that they will be celebrating the over 500 volunteers that help run our organization with Volunteer Recognition Day on Friday, April 28, 2017.

Volunteers are the backbone of the YMCA. Volunteers not only founded the YMCA, but operated it in its entirety in the early days. The involvement of thousands of talented, committed individuals greatly extends the range, quality and variety of YMCA programs.

Therefore we would like to thank you our volunteers for their service by opening up our Salem Branch for just our volunteers and their families.

Each of the branches in Monmouth-Independence, Santiam, and Silver Falls will be closing early in order to allow their volunteers to come to the Salem Family YMCA for food and fun.

The night’s activities will run from 6:00-9:00 PM and include open swimming, gymnastics, basketball, dance, Family Zumba, kid activities, and much more.

Membership is not require to participate in this event. RSVP is required and needs to be sent to Nancy Umeda (numeda@theyonline.org) no later than April 14, 2017.
